August 1997- Arrival in Bethesda, MD for my one-year stint at the NIH. This sign was my first clue that something was a little different around these parts.

This is an honest-to-god roadsign, marking an honest-to-god hidden entrance to a parking lot.

The absurdity of this sign led me to begin collecting items for the Department of Amusing & Disturbing Signage Department.

This pic is also fairly well-known since it's been hijacked from cardhouse about a million times. Rest assured it's mine, ALL MINE!
